Eradication

Have I properly identified the patterns?

Have I relied on reasonable evidence to reach my conclusions?

Have I properly defined effectiveness?

Have I made reasonable assumptions?

Have I considered all the logical alternatives and selected the proper course of action?

Have I properly identified the implications of the facts, ideas or situation?

How do you eradicate “stupid 4ever”

  • Embrace uncertainty.  Translation: use doubt as a tool to spur inquiry, experimentation, and thoughtful debate. If you can recognize what you don’t know, then you are more likely to seek out advice and other perspectives.

  • Acknowledge and learn from errors. Everybody makes mistakes but not everyone acknowledges them and fewer still learn from them. In fact, many people are so intent on “saving face” that they fail to face the truth about their shortcomings.

  • Ask the right questions. What are the right questions? Dr. So What’s Questions provide a good starting point.
